Limyra
An eastern Lycian gate — theatre, episcopal remains and tombs overlooking the Finike plain.
Limyra
Limyra sits on the northern edge of the Finike plain near Turunçova. It was an administrative and religious centre of eastern Lycia; Roman and Byzantine layers still read on the same slope.
The theatre is the clearest monument, looking out over orange groves at golden hour. Nearby heroa and sarcophagi are among the densest Lycian tomb groups in the district — walk slowly and keep to marked paths.
Allow about 90 minutes. Bring a hat, water and flat shoes. From Finike centre it is roughly a 10-minute drive; the turn-off is signed. Pair Limyra with the coves in the afternoon and save Arykanda for a second day so you are not rushing hillside ruins in the heat.
